Hueston assists clients on a variety of issues related to bank examinations, with a focus on risk management and compliance challenges within complex credit and capital markets activities. He advises U.S. and foreign banks, swap dealers, and broker-dealers in these areas.
Prior to coming to Promontory, Hueston supervised derivatives trading activities as a bank examiner within the financial-markets group at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He also oversaw the expansion of a framework for enterprise risk as a director of the model-oversight group at Freddie Mac. Hueston’s prior experience includes work in the merchant energy sector, where he traded natural-gas swaps and derivatives and managed forward exposures from natural-gas storage facilities as a trader at PG&E Trading.
