Marimarlene Clay

Senior Principal

Marimarlene specializes in assisting clients as they are addressing regulatory concerns in consumer compliance, anti-money laundering and the Bank Secrecy Act. She has extensive experience involving fair lending, fraud, corporate governance, risk management, internal audit, quality assurance, and other consumer-related compliance matters. Marimarlene also performs compliance and AML due-diligence reviews, and helps clients establish effective compliance programs.

Experience

Marimarlene has over 30 years of regulatory and financial industry experience. Prior to joining Promontory, she was a national bank examiner at the Office of Comptroller of the Currency, where she was a member of the compliance specialist team and the AML lead expert. She has experience evaluating regulatory reporting, audit, and governance topics. Marimarlene spent seven years as head of compliance and the BSA officer at a regional bank in the Southeast. She is also a certified public accountant.
