Jim advises clients across various sectors on matters relating to risk management, compliance, and privacy and data security. Over the last decade, Jim has advised more than a dozen financial institutions on issues pertaining to staffing, management, strategy, governance, and risk management.

Experience

At Promontory, he has performed due diligence on behalf of financial institutions looking to purchase smaller banks, supervising onsite reviews of high risk customer accounts to assess compliance risk. He has written major reports on credit risk management, organizational staffing and management, and internal audit for leading financial institutions. Jim also co-founded an independent infrastructure advisory firm focused on transportation finance for public and private sector clients. In his five years experience in the industry, he has prepared strategic financial plans, financial models, and gap assessments with recommendations on how to leverage traditional and innovative funding sources to bridge infrastructure funding deficiencies for a variety of assets, including roadways, railways, and airports. He has also helped private investors evaluate, price, and bid on potential public-private partnership investments in transportation assets.
