Management Assessment

Representative Engagements

Promontory works with boards of directors to conduct management reviews often required by regulatory enforcement actions. We normally employ a two-pronged approach: first, evaluate the management structure; then assess the executive competencies of the individuals being reviewed.

An evaluation of the management structure will take into consideration the organization and the processes in place to facilitate the company’s smooth and effective operations, including clarity of responsibilities, accountabilities, spans of control, and succession planning, as well as the company’s risk management activities. Our review of executive competencies evaluates leadership, ability to drive results (including sound risk management), talent development track record, strategic thinking, and relationship-building effectiveness, relative to the executive’s responsibilities and industry norms.

We work with boards to produce objective evaluations that identify specific and actionable opportunities for strengthening the management team and management practices and for satisfying regulatory expectations.
