American Banker featured Julie Williams, a Promontory managing director and head of the domestic advisory practice, in an article about the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s plan on unwinding a failing uninsured national bank. According to the article, the plan signals how the OCC potentially would handle receivership for fintech firms.

“The OCC is not doing it because it is losing sleep over the lack of a resolution framework for trust banks,” Williams said. “The elephant in the room here is, what does this mean for special purpose fintech banks in the near or long term?”
