Gene Ludwig, Promontory’s CEO, and Alistair Rennie, general manager for industry solutions at IBM, are quoted in Politico Pro Financial Services about how IBM and Promontory will use technology to help clients comply with regulations.
“We don’t ask Watson to come up with the definitive answer; we want a person to do that,” Ludwig said. “You need to be able to put the words in context to give them meaning” to an artificial intelligence system.”
And Rennie said: “We’ve been pursuing areas where we think the application of cognitive science can begin to make a difference for our clients.”
