Promontory Director Cynthia Shea was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article about bank regulators’ ability to revise rules for suspicious transactions.

Bank regulators could make simple changes in the near term, including updating reporting forms. “That drives a lot of work in and of itself,” Shea said. “Theoretically, they can change what’s being reported to them without any laws or rules being passed.”
