10/17/18 - Gene Ludwig on Using AI to Help Underserved Customers

Promontory CEO Gene Ludwig was interviewed for an American Banker article on how banks can use artificial intelligence to reach underserved customers.

Ludwig said that Promontory has used machine-learning models to help banks identify groups of customers who had been falsely identified as “high risk.”

“In the process of finding the bad guys, you don’t want to root out a population of people who really ought to get financial services, but are put in the wrong category,” he explained.
