Marimarlene Clay

Senior Principal

Ms. Clay provides expertise in anti-money laundering and assists clients with fraud risk assessments, compliance, enforcement actions, management reviews, and other regulatory matters. Prior to joining Promontory full-time, Ms. Clay was an independent consultant assisting regional, multinational, and international financial institutions with regulatory matters.

Ms. Clay began her career in government with the Internal Revenue Service and served several years as an OCC Examiner with emphasis in compliance and anti-money laundering. She also served as the Chief Compliance and BSA Officer for seven years at a regional bank in the Southeastern United States.

Ms. Clay graduated with an Accounting Degree from the University of Illinois (Springfield) and holds a Masters in Taxation from Mississippi State University. She earned her CPA certification in 1986.
