Mr. de Saint Phalle specializes in governance, government regulation, and compliance. Since arriving at Promontory, he has advised banks, insurance companies and asset management groups. He also has extensive expertise in the securities regulation of investment advisers and investment products and vehicles, as well as securities offerings generally, having spent 30 years as a partner with a leading New York law firm and in the asset management business.

Before joining Promontory, Mr. de Saint Phalle was Managing Director, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary of iFormation Group, a venture capital/private equity group formed by General Atlantic, Goldman, Sachs & Co. and The Boston Consulting Group. He has also served as a member on the boards and audit committees of a small mutual fund, a registered fund of hedge funds complex, and a private technology distribution company.

Mr. de Saint Phalle is a graduate of Trinity College, and Columbia University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Columbia Law Review.
